Send a Cow has been working with the National Union for Women with Disabilities of Uganda (NUWODU) to deliver a 3-year project with disabled and non-disabled farmers in Amuru District, Northern Uganda to reduce stigma around disability and promote inclusion.
The project impact has helped raise awareness of disability rights and increased skills and knowledge of sustainable agriculture and business development.
The result has been greater inclusion, increased farm production, improved nutrition and increased incomes for secure futures.
Send a Cow is working towards becoming a Disability Confident Employer as part of this project with support from the West of England Centre for Independent Living (WECIL).
The event is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.
