Host a virtual coffee morning with a difference this Lent
Get social. Raise Money. Give Hope.
This Lent, we’re asking churches to Love Your Neighbour by holding a coffee morning on Zoom, in support of refugee families. To make it different from your normal Zoom meetings, why not invite a Send a Cow speaker to join you! We can tell you about our refugee projects in northern Uganda, and your guests can ask as many questions they like - all socially distanced!
Book a Send a Cow speaker for your virtual coffee morning*
*All we ask is that you make a minimum donation of £100 to our work. We recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment!

How your donations can make a difference
Make a house a home
£104 – could provide training for four families to build key household items including: an energy saving stove, a clean latrine and a tip tap hand-washer.
£242 - could train two refugee farmers to become ‘peer farmer trainers’: volunteers who go out into the community and train neighbouring families on how to farm their land.
Kick start a business
£570 – could provide training for five families in business management, so they can set up their own business at the end of the programme and secure their future.
Rose is one of over 46,000 refugees living in the Palabek Settlement.
Rose fled conflict in her home country of South Sudan and arrived with nothing. Imagine how she felt as she tried to feed her family. And then the unexpected happened. A local Ugandan family gave her a piece of their own land. They gave from what little they had. What a beautiful example of loving your neighbour as yourself! Rose now lives on a small piece of land. She is struggling to grow enough food to feed her six children, as are all the other refugees and local Ugandan families, but with Send a Cow’s training her small piece of land can be transformed.
