“I’ve seen the work of Send a Cow first-hand in Ethiopia, and I’m still in awe at what they achieve. By sharing practical advice with farmers and families, they help some of the poorest people in Africa grow their way out of poverty. They in turn share what they’ve learnt with their neighbours and so on, transforming lives, unlocking creativity and the potential of whole communities. I’m proud to support their work.”

“For those of us who just like being outside it seemed so natural to have friends round for afternoon tea, promote the charity by educating people of our work and getting along friends and neighbours (us Brits love nosing around other people's homes and gardens) while raising lots of cash for the cause. As a Christian I also feel these occasions a special opportunity to gently explain why we should care for the poor and how easy it is to make such a difference in people's lives.”

“I put up a little stall on the roadside right outside my house! I was inspired to hold a plant sale for Send a Cow after 15 years as an ambassador for the charity. I have watched it listen and learn, develop and adapt according to the needs and circumstances of the people it helps. That is what makes it work sustainably.”

How your Gardens for Good event could help families grow brighter futures

Raising £66 could provide 10 families with garden gadgets.

Simple items like a fork, a rake and a hoe, can make a world of difference. By having the right tools, families like Nusula’s can transform their small plots of land into thriving gardens!
