Here you can find a cross section of the people that make Send a Cow work. From our CEO Paul Stuart, through to the extension workers who are out in the field every day, every member of the team is key to us reaching as many people as possible.
Paul qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young before spending over 20 years in international business. During this time he developed partnerships in a number of different countries whilst leading an international publisher. He lived and volunteered with an international NGO in Mozambique for a year and joined Send a Cow in 2013. Paul is also a Trustee of Development Initiatives.
Donald MavunduseDirector of International Operations
Donald joined Send a Cow in January 2019. He has worked for a number of humanitarian and development organisations in remote villages, at regional level and globally. Before joining Send a Cow he was Head of East and Southern Africa for Tearfund. Before that, he had different roles with Action Aid UK, Federation of Red Cross and World Vision.
Rowena WarrenDirector of Finance and Resources
Rowena has worked at Send a Cow since 2015, when she started working for our programme in Kenya. She is a Chartered Accountant who has spent her whole career in financial management in the not for profit sector.
Aklilu DogissoCountry Director, Ethiopia
Aklilu has worked for Send a Cow since 2007. Previously he worked in government ministries and for international NGOs such as World Vision. Aklilu has an MA in Rural Social Development and a BSc in Agriculture.
Titus SagalaCountry Director, Kenya
Titus joined Send a Cow in 2007, to lead a programme in partnership with Heifer International. He previously worked for the Kenyan Government Extension Services. Now Country Director, Titus is responsible for further building programme and influence in Kenya.
White MwaleCountry Manager, Zambia
White has lots of experience in development and humanitarian work; he has worked for Caritas as a Development Co-ordinator and Luther World Federation as a Humanitarian Co-ordinator. He is very passionate about growing a strong country programme in Zambia.
Anna Campbell-JohnstonHead of Programmes
Anna has worked for a range of international NGOs in both programmes and fundraising for over 30 years, living and travelling extensively in Africa and Asia. She has been a member of the Send a Cow International Programmes team for over 10 years.
David BraggFounding Farmer
A founding farmer, David sent cows from his own herd to Africa over 25 years ago. He served as Director and Trustee and in 2002, he retired from farming to become Send a Cow’s first paid Programme Coordinator.
Richard AlfordResearch & Impact
Richie has worked at Send a Cow since 2004, starting off as programme coordinator before taking on responsibility for monitoring the impact of our work. Prior to Send a Cow he spent 16 years working overseas in livestock projects.
Agnes NamuganzaAgricultural Extension Worker
Agnes is an Agricultural Extension Work. She holds a Diploma in Animal Husbandry and spends her time working driectly with communities in the field advising and supporting them in maintaining excellent animal welfare standards.
Maurice WambiyaExtension Worker & Advisor
Maurice, an extension worker with Send a Cow Kenya, previously worked with the Kenyan Ministry of Livestock Development for 21 years and Heifer Project International for six years. His varied expertise includes rural community livelihood empowerment, animal welfare and management, community mobilisation, conflict resolution and training.
